International Space Station
RHMS has selected 7th grade students, Brian Rayner and Melissa Moreno to pre-record a question to be asked to NASA astronauts Frank Rubio and Woody Hoburg. On May 18th we will have a "watch party" where the astronauts will answer our students' pre-recorded questions LIVE in a 20 minute Q&A session on NASA TV through an Inflight Education Downlink that they will give us access to. The broadcast will be recorded and posted on the NASA Downlink YouTube channel and the Smithsonian Learning Lab following the livestream.
This is a phenomenal opportunity and honor for our RHMS students!

“As educators our work is never finished. How we manage our time and energy will determine our effectiveness. You must take care of you first or run the risk of draining rather than energizing the very people you aim to serve.” @casas_jimmy
#ThoughtForTheDay “It isn't always a question of who are you helping to get better today. Sometimes it’s about who are you allowing to help you get better. Model what it means to accept help and give your pride a swallow so you can in turn be great for others.” @casas_jimmy
