JANUARY 4, 2023 - NEWSLETTER
Hello Northpoint Families, and Happy New Year!
I hope everyone had a good winter break and that you are beginning the new year refreshed and ready to go. For those who have made resolutions…you’ve got this!
This week we will be focusing on re-establishing relationships, routines, and expectations across Northpoint. This is important time, well spent, as we head into 2023 and make the most of our time together. Along with helping our kids settle back into school, here a few reminders for our families as well:
- Please call the attendance line at 763-600-5709 any time your child is absent. If there is no communication with school, students are marked “absent unexcused."
- For parent drop off in the morning, students should arrive no earlier than 9 a.m. They may enter the building at 9:10 a.m. (breakfast eaters may enter at 9 a.m.) and are tardy if arriving after 9:20.
- Parents may walk up or enter the car line if your child is a parent pick-up. If your child isn’t able to get into their car without adult assistance, please walk up instead of using the car line. In addition, please always drive forward as far as possible in the car line and avoid stopping in the designated crosswalk.
Thanks for helping us get a great start on this new year. Tomorrow (Thursday) you can kick off the year with some great live music. “Live on 65” welcomes Miss Myra and Moonshiners to the Fine Arts Center at Spring Lake Park High School. Tickets are $5 for students/kids and $12 for adults.
Happy January!
Judi

This fall, Michael was elected to the Minnesota Senate. Before he is sworn in, he is required to resign his school board duties. His board resignation was effective December 31, 2022.

Multiage 1-2 Royal Ball
Multiage 1-2 students spent time reading a variety of Cinderella stories from Wit and Wisdom during reading. To celebrate finishing up this module, they had a "royal ball" where students dressed like the character they liked best from all seven books they read. Students learned dances from two of the countries in our texts during their time in Performing Arts. Students had a chance to perform the dances, make a wand craft, and have refreshments during their ball!
