What's Happening in October

  • Open House is October 18th
  • We have our last field trip of the trimester to the Princeton Art Museum on October 28th. Please pack a lunch that day.
  • Middle School Halloween Dance October 24th
  • Invention Club on Thursdays through November- Students in Middle School Activity will be working with 1-5th graders in a Science club at Buckingham Friends School.

FYI- the haunted woods that the seniors put on is on October 30th, but there will not be a trip before that to the corn maze this year.

Class Trip Day (September 19th)

Class trip day on September 19th focused on Greek Mythology that was being taught in their English class. They made a t-shirt based on their god or godess that they researched in class. Then we competed in the afternoon in an Olympics including sprints, discuss (frisbee), hurdles and long jump. We also had a giant defender dome and twister board inflatable that day to play inside of. The end of the day brought an ice cream treat!

Halloween Dance

On October 24th we will be having a having a Halloween Dance in the dance room up at the gym from 7-9pm. We are inviting students from other schools who are in grades 6-9. The dance will be 3.00 at the door and they are encouraged to wear costumes!

I am looking for some parent volunteers to make some Halloween themed snacks for the dance, help take money at the door and also to monitor the concession stand (all the snacks and drinks are free). Please let Cari know if you can help out that night.

Poconos Environmental Education Center

Despite the wet conditions, they had a fun time canoeing, learning about bats, beavers, orienteering and hiking!
