Confederate Soldier and Sailors Monument
Located on North 29th street and Libby Park in Richmond City, Va this monument is commemorated to the Confederate soldiers who fought in the Civil war. This was a prime location to place this monument because the first capitol of the Confederates was in Richmond 1861. In 1860 the Confederate states which include South Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Virginia, Arkansas, Tennessee, and North Carolina all seceded from the the rest of the union states.
