Teacher Assembly
Serving as a representative is a leadership role and provides those teacher leaders an opportunity to contribute to our strategic efforts by collectively sharing a broad spectrum of teacher input. Each representative is expected to provide a briefing to faculty and staff after each meeting. This provides an excellent opportunity for all teachers to gain access to the broader scope of Compass to 2020.
At the same time, division administrators will leverage the input and feedback, as well as the products of the Teacher Assembly to plan future professional learning opportunities, fine tune initiatives and gain an understanding of the authentic experiences of teachers.
The meeting dates are Oct. 23, Jan. 22, March 4, and April 22.
One person and one alternate will be invited to attend to represent Lynnhaven ES.
Please send nominations for Teacher Assembly to Mrs. Breaux by October 4th.

Drills
We made it through September with all our required drills! Way to go Lynnhaven! For the month of October, we will have an Earthquake drill and at least one fire drill. This month, the fire drill may be coupled with the bomb threat drill, during which time we will not pull the alarm. Instead, we will announce to the school that we will be doing an evacuation drill in which everyone should collect their materials (book bags, coats, etc.) and exit as if they would for a fire drill.
Additionally, we may practice and internal and/or external drill again during the month of October.
