Welcome New Families & Students!
- Grade 4- Michaela
Our kindergarten class keeps growing for next year and we are at 17 registered students! We currently have five students enrolled for grade 1, and expect more to enroll this spring. We are hopeful and optimistic that spring will bring more new students to our learning community.
Junior High Staffing Changes for 2021-22
We will be saying goodbye to Mrs. Star Pedron at the end of this school year. Please see her letter to families here: The five years I’ve spent at Our Lady of Fatima have brought me challenges and joys, and the joys, in the persons of the children, have made any challenges insignificant. I want to thank my students and their parents for all the love, and wish everyone the very best. ~Mrs. Pedron
In August, we will welcome Mr. Michael Botsch as our junior high English- Language Arts grade teacher. Like Ms. Fleming and Ms. Loughlin, he is studying with the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) at the University of Notre Dame for the next two school years. Mr. Botsch will live in community with the ACE Stockton teaching fellows while completing a credential program, in addition to a Master’s degree in Education, from the University of Notre Dame.
Mr. Botsch is graduating with a BA in English from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. He is originally from Weymouth, MA, just outside of Boston, and is excited to be heading out West for the first time and enjoying the weather. In his free time, he likes to read and do some creative writing (looking forward to doing both of those in class this year). He is also trying (maybe not successfully) to learn to play guitar. He has some fun ideas for our classes next year and can’t wait to get to work!
Grade 3 Staffing Change for 2021-22
Ms. Deborah Fox will join our faculty as our grade 3 teacher in August. Ms. Fox has taught in Catholic Schools for over 15 years. I am a mother to four wonderful adult children and five grandchildren. I just recently moved to Modesto and have lived in the San Joaquin valley for over 63 years. I choose to teach at Catholic Schools because my faith plays an important role in my life. It’s an honor being able to spend each and every day being able to assist you in your child’s faith journey. In addition, I find building and challenging all students academic and life skills to be very rewarding. I enjoy going to the mountains for fresh air and heading to the coast for a walk along the shore. I enjoy crocheting and sewing while listening to Christian, easy listening, and instrumental music. I am excited to join Our Lady of Fatima School and to meet everyone in my new community in the fall!
