Gators of the Week - Work hard. Get smart. Do good.

Gators of the Week: Women's Tennis Wins Gold at State

Work hard. With an exciting finish as Maegan Togneri won court four, the RBHS Women's Varsity Tennis team captured history winning their first 5A state title. Competing against a tough Spartanburg team, it was truly a team effort as River Bluff won courts 3, 4, 5 and #2 doubles for a 4-2 finish. This marks the first of many titles for our young program. We graduate two senior captains and know the future is bright. Thank you to Coach Lim and the entire staff and all the Gator Fans who traveled to the Cayce Tennis center to cheer on our girls.

Gators of the Week: Physic C Students Collaborate to Solve Complex Problems

Get smart: During our Palmetto's Finest visit one of the evaluators stopped by our AP Physics C class. We had a lab going and it was full on collaboration, content discussion, and intensive teamwork to solve an unusual lab, using an air track to find the acceleration due to gravity. What a great example of critical thinking, collaboration and communication at work first thing in the morning.

Gators of the Week: Veteran's Day Assembly Planned

Do good. We invite our community to attend our annual Veterans Day Assembly on Tuesday. A Call to Duty this will be an exciting presentation of our Media Arts team, Fine Arts Team and students within our Center for Law and Global Policy. One of our three keynote speakers is Attorney General Alan Wilson.

Please join us for this event at 9:45 AM.

Signing Out Procedures

A reminder to parents regarding signing students out during the school day. Someone from the student's sign out sheet must come in and show ID to dismiss a child. We do not accept phone calls or emails for dismissal. You can come in on Monday to sign your child out during the week but only up until Friday of the same week. Also, if you are dismissing your child during ILT, then it is helpful to have made arrangements with the student ahead of time. We appreciate your help to assist in making this process efficient.

Counseling and Advisement Assignments for Students

Counseling and Advisement Team

The Counseling & Advisement team is working towards a more intentionally focused program to provide students with the best support. Rather than counselors having students in all grade levels (9-12), we are realigning to be able to more appropriately serve students’ transitional needs at the different levels. This realignment will also more closely mirror our CREW design allowing students to stay with their school counselor their 9th and 10th grade years and then have another counselor their 11th and 12th grade years.
