How does the child get it?

The child can get it from being born too early or also a genetic condition that affects the brain development.

Symptoms

  • poor head control
  • difficulty feeding and sucking
  • easily startled
  • seizures

Treatments

  • therapy/drug therapy
  • surgery
  • optimize mobility
  • prevent/manage complications

Life Expectancy

Live long and happy lives but will have more visits to the doctor. it does not have a life span, but they will have this disability for the rest of their life.
