Kirk Fenton News

8th November 2019

Dear Parents / Carers,

Welcome back, I hope you all had a lovely half term break.

We have started this half term with vigour and the children are working hard in their learning. This week started with a visit from olympic swimmer James Kirton who inspired us to strive to be the best we can be and finished with us giving thanks for those that gave their lives for us as we focus on remembrance.

Finally, a reminder that the Friends of Kirk Fenton EGM will be held on Wednesday 20th November at 3:20 pm. Please, please do try to attend and keep our Friends group going. It would be such a shame to lose such a valuable resource that does so much good for the children at our school.

Sporting Success

Congratulations to Eloise Herbert and Charlie Collier for their amazing endurance when running in the Dalby Forest Cross Country Finals. They competed against more than 70 other children in their races and did a fabulous job of representing Kirk Fenton. Eloise came 8th and Charlie came 32nd - well done to both of you.

Olympic Athlete

The children had so much fun participating in the circuits challenge and it was lovely to see so much resilience and perseverance. Well done to all the people who have raised money and please remember to return your forms and money or pay online if you haven't already. Thank you to James Kirton for a very inspirational afternoon.

All we want for Christmas... is volunteers!

This week we are trying to guage how many stalls we will be able to manage at the Christmas Fair, so we are asking for people to come forward this week if they'll be able to man a stall 2.30 - 4.30pm on Friday 6th December.
