Dear Parents / Carers,

This week I've had the joy of visiting several classes to cover lessons. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know the children in Mercury class while helping them to make Diwali divas. I was also lucky enough to teach French in Saturn and Uranus and was amazed at their knowledge and skill.

I would like to thank Friends of Kirk Fenton for all their work in pulling together an Amazon wish list in lieu of our Summer and Christmas Fairs. Please do support us where you can as we have missed out on our biggest fundraisers this year. I am looking forward to opening all of the book donations and setting up the new library. Many thanks in advance.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Karen Williams

Saturn and Jupiter Craft Day

Please can your child bring in a glass jar (like a jam jar) by December 7th so that we have time to sanitise them before we use them during our Christmas craft day.

Thank you

Miss McHale & Miss Exton

Christmas Cards

The children are able to give out Christmas cards this year but only to children in the same class bubble. They must be brought in on the day of the week specified by the teacher so they can be quarantined for 72 hours before being given out.

Thank you

Christmas fundraising 2020

Given the current situation with Covid 19, we are unable to hold the usual fabulous Christmas Fair this year, raising vital funds for our school. While we are sad that the children won’t get to enjoy this lovely experience, we are still determined to help provide for them.

Amazon wishlist to the rescue!

In order to help equip the school with many inspiring books linked to the national curriculum, we have set up an Amazon wish list. This list has been compiled by the staff and is age appropriate and engaging. If you are able, please contribute by buying a book or two from the list. When you check out they are automatically sent to the school address.

Follow this link* to browse the Christmas wishlist:

Of course, you are welcome to share this with any grandparents or other family members who might be interested in showing their support too.

Finally, we’d like to wish you all a happy and healthy Christmas.

Warm and festive regards from your committee,

Friends of Kirk Fenton

Flu Immunisation Survey

The Childhood Immunisation Team have set up a QR code system (found on the information emailed out) and a web link to gain feedback following our visit to your school to administer the flu vaccination. Please would you access this and assist your child/children to answer the short survey on their experience of their vaccination with our nurses. It is a very short survey and should only take a couple of minutes to complete. The questions are aimed at primary school and year 7 children and they should be able to answer them quite confidently themselves. Younger children may need more support from a parent/carer.

We hope to gain more of an understanding of the children’s experience of their flu vaccination in school and use this to improve our service for next year.

Both the QR code and the web link take you to the same survey.

Yours sincerely,

Childhood Immunisation Team
