Message From the Superintendent
Dear Leicester School Community,
I am writing to inform you that the Board of Selectmen and School Committee voted unanimously last night to take my recommendation for the following grade configuration for 2022-2023:
Grades 11 and 12 will be located at the former Becker College campus in the Fuller Campus Center building;
Grades 9 and 10 will be located on the third floor of the existing Leicester High School;
Grades 5 through 8 will be located on the first and second floors of Leicester High School;
Grades K through 4 remain unchanged at the elementary school;
Pre-Kindergarten will remain at Leicester High School, and no changes will occur.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Last night’s PowerPoint can be accessed by clicking on the link below:

We are steadfast with our vision of engaging well-balanced learners in a safe and supportive environment promoting personal and academic growth. There is a lot of work to do, in little time, and we will be looking for volunteers.
The next scheduled update meeting with the Board of Selectmen and School Committee is Wednesday, July 27th at 6 PM in the town hall. It is my goal to keep the school community informed as we move forward in preparing for the 2022-2023 school year.
I am also writing to inform you that Principal Fontaine has tendered his resignation as Principal at Leicester Middle School. Effective immediately, I am appointing Assistant Superintendent Richard Lind as Acting Principal for the LMS. Mr. Lind has 14 years of experience as a middle school principal and he will help provide a smooth transition.
Additionally, I am forming a search committee for the next Principal of Leicester Middle School. If you are interested in serving on the Leicester Middle School Principal Search, please contact Sheryl Femino at feminos@lpsma.net. The position is being posted today, and I will keep you informed as the process moves forward.
To conclude, “It takes a village to raise our wolverines” (adapted proverb). Thank you for your support, and I will send another update soon.

Did you know that your students can earn college credit through our Dual Enrollment courses at Anna Maria College?
This program allows you to save time and money by earning up to 12 free college credits that can be applied toward both your high school/homeschool diploma and college degree. Students enrolled in this program are eligible for 2 initial classes for free. Students that ultimately enroll at Anna Maria, receive a financial waiver for the second two classes.
As students consider dual enrollment, we hope that you are able to assist them with academic advising and course scheduling, during their Junior and Senior year. Courses will be held online and completely remote on weekday evenings during the fall term.
For questions about applying and entering the Dual Enrollment program, please call the Office of Undergraduate Admission at (508) 849-3360, or email us at admission@annamaria.edu. Join us for an information session to learn more!
