Next Year Planning Update | watch
Dr. Kaczkwoski shared that District 41 is moving forward with a plan for full reopening with 3 feet as much as possible. She gave an overview including information such as the district not planning on continuing the COVID-19 saliva screening next school year. In addition, she also announced that kindergarten is expected to open with a pre-covid schedule with specials.
On June 2 and 3, a District 41 work group will be gathering (18 members) to brainstorm and bring together a recommendation on how to manage quarantines next school year. A draft plan will be coming back to the Board on June 14.

2021 Copy Paper Bids | watch
Assistant Superintendent for Finance, Facilities and Operations Eric DePorter shared that this is an annual bid made and provided a report to the Board.
Supplemental Pay Recommendations | watch
Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Marci Conlin presented the request for the supplemental pay positions for next school year. She explained each request individually and answered Board member questions.
Tentative Amended 2020-2021 Budget | watch
Mr. DePorter shared that the district is bringing an amended budget to the Board in accordance with Illinois School Code. Budget line items have changed through the year due to the pandemic. Mr. DePorter explained the amended items in detail and answered Board member questions. For example, one major change was the awarding of federal funding from the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) through reimbursement grants to school districts.
Additional FTE for the 2021-2022 School Year | watch
Mrs. Conlin presented information requesting additional positions to be considered for next school year. She answered Board member questions and provided additional information as requested.
IASB Resolutions Proposals | watch
Mrs. Hill facilitated a discussion with the Board on suggested resolution topics for her to consider sending to IASB. Board members suggested reviewing last year’s proposal on gun storage safety and teacher recruitment.
