A Letter from the Superintendent
February 24, 2022
Dear Methacton Families,
The news of Russia’s invasion into Ukraine and its potential implications – globally and here at home – is likely on the hearts and minds of many today. I want to remind you that the district has several resources available to help support our families through these challenging events.
The following resources may help you in your conversations with your children. These links are being provided as a convenience and for informational purposes only.
- National Association of School Psychologists: Coping in Unsettling Times
- Child Mind Institute: Helping Children Cope with Frightening News
As always, our school counselors provide a safe and caring environment for students to express their thoughts and feelings. We encourage you to engage our counseling staff or building principals for support.
Dr. David Zerbe
Superintendent of Schools
