Hanson Named Homecoming Queen

During last Friday night's Homecoming festivities, Parker Hanson was named the 2015-16 Homecoming Queen. Congratulations to Parker and her entire court, including senior representatives Kasey Young, Brittany Brown, and Sarah Hester.

Congrats to Spelling Bee/Essay/Scholarship Winners

We're proud of our Spelling Bee winners, Tyler Foster and runner-up Braxton Bevis. (See picture below!)

Congratulations to American Legion Voice of Democracy winners: 1st place Carrie Holt, 2nd place Gil Carter, and 3rd place Emma Clark. Holt will advance to the state level of competition. All three local winners were from Mars Hill--an impressive feat!

Gil Carter also placed 2nd locally in the DAR Good Citizen Scholarship and Essay Contest. Congratulations, Gil!

Monthly Booster Meetings Set

Athletic Booster Club meetings will be held on the last Monday of each month. The next meeting will be Monday, January 25, at 6 p.m. Get involved! Everyone is invited.

Middle School Musical Coming Soon

This year's middle school musical, Cinderella Kids, is scheduled for February 5-7. Tickets are general admission and are on sale in the 5-12 office (See Mrs. Condra). The cost of each ticket is $5, and show times are Fri., Feb. 5 and Sat., Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. in Morris Auditorium.

You may send cash or a check made out to Mars Hill Bible School. Please include the student’s name and grade or use the order forms that were given to students at an earlier date. You may also order from the Mars Hill Bible School website. On the home page, click on the yearbook icon, and order your yearbook using a credit card. Please note that the company will charge you a $2.00 processing fee.
