NCVPS STUDENT SURVEY!!!!!!!!
All students need to participate in the NCVPS Student Survey for Japanese 1. Your participation helps us improve the course for future students.
You can take the student survey at: https://ncvps.qualtrics.com/ SE/?SID=SV_4Sm8S6bCovxuuQl
NOTE: IF YOU ARE TAKING MORE THAN ONE COURSE, PLEASE SUBMIT A SURVEY FOREACH COURSE.
Please provide feedback specific to the course in which you are responding.
Lesson 13 Speaking Assignment Due Today - Read This Information Carefully!
You need to create two audio/visual presentations this week with a partner.
You will submit two separate presentations. Be sure to submit your presentation to make sure you get credit.
Please submit your audio separately as embedding sometimes doesn't work as expected. You can record one or two files instead of recording several small ones.
Please review the Grading Rubric for the assignment and make sure you include all of the criteria listed in the assignment.
Remember that you must respond to 2 classmates' recordings for full credit. I hate deducting points for this. :(
For some help with the speaking assignment, you may want to give another listen to the video featuring Sakura and Daichi. Listen very carefully to how they pronounce this week's vocabulary words. This is how you will want to pronounce them.
Here's some good phrases to use when making plans with others:
どようびにひまですか。= On Sunday are you free? Use the particle に after どようび to say "On Sunday" ひま = free
ばんごはんにラメンをたべませんか。= For dinner, won't you eat ramen? Use the ませんか ending to be more formal and polite.
ごじはんにえいがにいきましょうか。= At 5:30, shall we go to the movies? The ましょうか ending is used for people you know well.
きんようびにコーヒーをのみましょう。= On Friday, let's drink coffee. The ましょう ending is a way to say "let's" and is very informal/causal.
Listen to Tanaka san say these lines in the recording below.
