Ms. Harris' Weekly Update
May 27-June 8th
THIS SADLY IS MY LAST WEEKLY UPDATE!
I'll send out a reminder email next week of last week events but for the most part this will be it. The end of the year is always bittersweet. Everyone is ready for a break and a time to relax, but I will wholeheartedly miss seeing your children each day. This class has been amazing and I'm very excited to see most of them again next year. I am so proud of the braver, kinder, and smarter kids they have become this year. I also want to say a HUGE thank you to each of you for your support, collaboration, and positivity this year. Together we have made this year a huge success! Thank you again and if for some reason I don't see you before June 5th, HAVE A WONDERFUL SUMMER!!
If you can, please fill out this super quick End of the Year parent survey. I always value constructive feedback and your answers will really help me make decisions about next year. All responses are anonymous.
Our Homeroom End of the Year Party is June 4th
Our WONDERFUL room mom, Danielle DeBow, is planning what I'm positive is an amazing end of the year party for our homeroom class. If you have any questions or want to help out in any way, please contact her. :)
Last Day of ELA and Math is June 3rd
Each class will have their ELA/Math celebrations on June 3rd. If your child is in my ELA/Math class, I sent out information last week regarding the theme. If you would like to send in items for this celebration, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f044aadae2fa1f94-gtendof
Field Day is Friday
Field Day is a half day this year. Students will eat lunch at 11 and then rotate through stations from 11:45-1:55. Students should wear sunscreen, comfortable clothing, their FMES shirts, and tennis shoes. They should also bring a towel to dry off with and a bag lunch from home. If you are interested in volunteering for field day, please email Mrs. Black or Mr. Lewis.
Other End of the Year Information:
- All retests and missing work must be in by Thursday 30th! Grades will be posted on the 31st.
- June 4th and 5th are half days.
- If you had emailed me interested in summer tutoring, I am finalizing my schedule this week. Please let me know a day/time that works best for you.
- Report Cards will be sent home on June 5th.
- I'm so sorry that yearbooks were not passed out Friday. That was my fault. They will be passed out and sent home today.
- Genius Hour Projects are still being presented in my math and ELA class. Please check with your child or email me if you would like to come and are unsure of what day/time your child presents.
- Students will get a chance to sign yearbooks/memory books as a grade level on Friday before field day activities.
