Volunteer Conference of Southern States

See you at the Opening Event at 5 p.m.

Volunteer Conference is a few days away! We can't wait to see you at the Opening Event at 5 p.m. in Sutton Hall. This year's conference includes a great kickoff event at 5 p.m. You'll want to be on time to meet, greet, and enjoy each other. Get a jump on the Tea Cup Auction (and it's not just tea up for grabs), learn what's new, what's hot and what's up.

Registration Opens at 2:00 p.m.

Registration opens at 2 p.m. in Sutton East. We will not be available early so if you arrive before 2, please take the time to enjoy the beautiful area. Be sure you check in to get your conference goodies, program and pick up volunteer assignments.

Tea Cup Auction

Bring a little extra cash for the Tea Cup Auction. We have several great prizes for your purchase "bid" of $1. Buy as many bids as you like for electronics, gift baskets and more. All proceeds from this activity will be used for a participant funded scholarship for future conferences. If you'd like to donate items to the cause, plan to drop off items at registration.

Volunteer to Help with the Conference

We're using VolunteerSpot (the leading online Sign-up and reminder tool) to organize our upcoming Sign-ups. If you volunteered to reduce your fee, you may register for assignments here or onsite at registration. We will continue to add activities to the site so you may want to check back often.

Here's how it works in 3 easy steps:

1) Click this link to see our Sign-Up on VolunteerSpot: http://vols.pt/yYiAHV
2) Review the options listed and choose the spot(s) you like.
3) Sign up! It's Easy - you will NOT need to register an account or keep a password on VolunteerSpot.

Note: VolunteerSpot does not share your email address with anyone. If you prefer not to use your email address, you can select a volunteer activity onsite at registration

Fun Shops

Friday night funshops will have us dancing and crafting. One opportunity uses old sweaters and sweatshirts. Bring an item you don't mind cutting up and you'll leave with a great new craft. Other funshops include jewelry make, line dancing, curtains for camp and more.

Check out the website for the updated list of workshops and funshops.

Free Time Fun

Several of you love to trade pins. While we don't have a planned pin trading moment in the program, feel free to bring small trading items and take advantage of the evening coffee shop hours or down time during the day to meet new folks and share your treasures.
