The JagWire

Jackson Middle School Weekly Newsletter - June 2, 2023

From the Principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Happy Friday! As I write this week’s edition of the JagWire, I am riding on a bus to Seattle with the Jackson Symphonic Band. The itinerary for the trip will be a mix of work and play and the kids will be exhausted by the time we return home tomorrow night. And let me just say, there is no lack of energy on this bus right now.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the parent volunteers who have helped out this year during lunch duty. Being able to open up the track so the students can spread out and get some fresh air has been invaluable. Please know that the time you're taking is making a positive impact on our students. And we still have slots available for the next week and a half!

Over the last few days we will be collecting books and Chromebooks from the students. Please have your child excavate their room and look for library books, text books, Chromebooks, Chromebook charger and any other things that your family may have lost.

And finally for our 8th grade families, we have a fun last two days of school planned so please make sure that your child has turned in everything they need to participate, such as:

  • All library books are turned in

  • They have their Chromebook and charger to turn in

  • They have turned in their Oaks Park permission slip

  • They have paid for Oaks Park (we do have scholarships available)

  • Lunch charges are paid up

If any one of the above things is missing, they might not be able to attend Oaks Park. Thank you for your assistance!

That's it for this week. Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

John Ferraro
