Together Is Better
I value other people’s strengths and learn from them. I get along well with others, even people who are different from me. I work well in groups. I seek out other people’s ideas to solve problems because I know that by teaming with others, we can create better solutions than anyone of us can alone. I am humble.
Monitoring
Keep a vigilant eye (especially at recess). When a student reports an incident or bullying, make a note to observe that particular student(s) during class or outside and see if you notice anything. Is it a student who is simply seeking attention? is there a legitimate cause for concern?
Bottom line: please make sure you are watching. These kiddos need to feel safe and secure and it starts with you. :) keep smiling, keep shining, knowing you can always count on me (for sure!)
