Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year.


We have had a lot of exciting projects reach fruition over the summer break. On the facilities front, be sure to follow our CVUSD Bond Measure I project to see the progress we made at several school sites over the summer. From an ultra-modern state-of-the art library at Thousand Oaks High School, to new flooring and walls at Thousand Oaks High School’s Innovation Lab, to landscape renovation at Westlake Hills Elementary, as well as new student lockers at Sequoia Middle School, among many other ongoing facilities and technology upgrades that occur year round thanks to Measure I. SAVE THE DATE: CVUSD College & Career Information Night - September 23rd

All CVUSD high school students and families are invited to the Annual College and Career Information Night on Monday, September 23 from 4:15pm to 8:15pm at Westlake High School - 100 N. Lakeview Canyon Road, Westlake Village.

The evening will consist of a College Fair, Test Preparation Exhibit and workshop sessions. More information here

Thousand Oaks High School Unveils NEW Library

This August, Thousand Oaks High School cut the ribbon on their brand new library thanks to funds from Bond Measure I. The beautiful open space floor plan includes comfortable seating area for students, study spaces with modern accents, and plenty of lighting to make the interior a welcoming and engaging place for students to learn, study and take a break.

Meet Jordan Scott - CVUSD's First DAC Student Board Representative!

Jordan Scott, a Senior at Westlake High School, has been selected to represent the District Advisory Council (DAC) as the first Student Board Representative for the 2019-20 school year. Jordan will serve as CVUSD's “inaugural” student board member representative during our first year of Student District Advisory Council. Read more

Meet Bennett Wutkee - Acacia Magnet School for Enriched Studies' New Principal

For the past five years, Bennett Wutkee has served as the Assistant Principal of Instruction at Newbury Park High School. Mr. Wutkee has worked in the District since 2001, and we welcome him to his new leadership role as Principal of Acacia Magnet School for Enriched Studies! Read more

Meet Sean MacDonald - New Assistant Principal for Conejo Valley High School

Sean MacDonald started the school year as the new Assistant Principal for Conejo Valley High School. Mr. MacDonald has both teaching and administrative experience at Century Academy, Los Cerritos Middle School, Redwood Middle School, Thousand Oaks High School and the Waverly Program at the University Center for Conejo Valley Unified School District. Now Accepting Applications: School Choice Committee

The Conejo Valley Unified School District is seeking qualified, interested individuals to serve on a committee which will serve as the School Choice Committee (“SCC”). Applicants must be the parent/guardian of a current CVUSD student, and may not be an employee of the Conejo Valley Unified School District. This committee reviews the Board Policy and Administrative Regulation for potential updates each school year. More information is available here. Online applications may be submitted here.

CVUSD Now Hiring Child Care Leader & Child Care Assistant Positions

Conejo Valley Unified School District’s Child Care Program is hiring Child Care Leaders and Child Care Assistants. These are both great opportunities for individuals passionate about working with children.

The Child Care Assistant position is unique in that high school students are eligible to apply. More information here

Earned Income Tax Credit Information Act Communication

Based on your annual earnings, you may be eligible to receive the Earned Income Tax Credit from the Federal Government (Federal EITC). The Federal EITC is a refundable federal income tax credit for low-income working individuals and families. More information here
