Fostering a Stronger Classroom Culture
Relationships come before everything. Building a positive environment in your individual classrooms is a matter of cultivating and maintaining relationships. It takes commitment and consistency. You can make it happen, though, even in the most challenging school environments. I came across the article below and thought it was a good one!

Notes From Our Office...
As the school year is winding down, it is hard to believe it is April already. We are sure that you are getting excited about ordering for the upcoming year. Please inventory your items before ordering as the budget is set at $200.00 for teaching staff. We will be using EdData again this year, but we will not however, be ordering from Cascade School Supply. So please choose another vendor or similar materials from another vendor. The public budget hearing will be May 6th, therefore we will be opening purchasing sometime after that. We will advise to when you can start ordering and when orders are due next month. After purchase orders are processed and ordered you will receive a pink copy and a green copy of the order. Please remember that the pink copy must be dated, signed and returned when all materials are received and the green copy is to be kept for your records.

Solar Power at Mansfield Township School District
The Mansfield Township School District has been generating clean energy from the power of the sun since October 2010. This clean source of energy has reduced our carbon footprint and lowered the district’s utility costs over the past 9 years.
Solar panels, made up of photovoltaic (PV) cells, capture sunlight particles or photons. Using a semiconducting material such as silicon, the PV cells convert the sunlight into useable direct current (DC) electricity.
An inverter connected by wires to the solar panels turns the direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC) electricity. The (AC) electricity goes to the electrical breaker panel in the school to power the lights, HVAC equipment, computers and other appliances.
The utility company meter in the school will measure how much energy is used, and how much is generated by the solar panels. This will show if the system is generating enough energy from solar power to fully meet our needs or whether we are still taking some power from the electric grid.
