All About Islam
Followers are called Muslims. They believe that there is only one God or Allah, they believe in angels, and that the holy book was sent to all the prophets. Some traditions that Muslims do are saying Allah's name before eating or drinking, use the right hand to eat and drink, and reciting "adhaan" in the right ear of a new born baby. They worship in a mosque. The leader of the mosque is called a Imam. There holy book is the Qur'an. They celebrate the Islamic new year, Prophet Muhammad's Birthday, and the celebration concluding the Hajj. Some of their holy places are Mecca, Medina, Jerusalem, Karbala, and Najaf. The common figure to Islam is God. They see God as the only God, that he is the creator of perfect, and that he is transcendent.
