TRICK OR TRUNK
Our Trick or Trunk event is almost here! We hope that you all come out and enjoy this fun event with us on Friday, Oct 28th form 5 - 6:30pm. Bring your costumes and your candy collection bags or buckets! We are still in need of some decorated trunks so if you are interested in volunteering your trunk, please reach out to Maria Beken at 303-982-4853. There will be a prize for the best trunk!
Thank you to all of those that have been sending in candy for us to distribute during our event. We love seeing the kids engage is some friendly competition for the class with the most collected candy! So far, we have collected over 400 pounds of candy! As of today, Ms. Hatchett’s First grade class is winning the candy collection competition but it is not too late for the other classes to catch up!
PUMPKIN CARVING/DECORATING CONTEST
On Oct 31, 2022, students will have the opportunity to bring in a carved or decorated pumpkin from home to participate in Eiber’s pumpkin contest! The pumpkins will be displayed at school and students and staff will vote on the best pumpkin. The winner will receive a gift card as a prize! We can’t wait to see your student’s creativity with their creations!

DENTAL SCREENINGS
STRIDE Community Health Center is coming to Eiber on November 3rd to perform dental screenings! Permission forms were sent home in your child’s Wednesday folder. If you sign and return the screening form and provide informed consent for your child to participate, a dental hygienist will examine your child’s teeth, clean and strengthen them. Each child will also receive a goodie bag including toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss. This treatment is free of charge! Please check your child’s folder for more information. If you have any questions, please call Eiber's Health Aid, Mikalyna at 303-982-6406.
LATE START DAY
New this year, Jeffco will implement three, 2-hour delays to support teacher professional time. Our first late start day will be Thursday, October 27th. The same schedule used for 2-hour delays for inclement weather will be used on these days. PK-12 students will start their school day 2 hours later than their normal school day. All services will run 2 hours later than normal on these days including transportation. If you have any questions, please contact the school office at 303-982-6406.
THANK YOU, MS. BEDELL!
October is National Principals Month! We are incredibly luck to have Ms. Bedell as our lovely principal for our Eiber students. This is her 19th year here at Eiber!! She is caring, kind, fair, and truly loves this community! Our students have been making her thoughtful cards, singing her songs and paying her happy visits in her office. If you see her at drop off or pick up, please give her a big "Happy Principals Month"!
PEDESTRIAN SAFETY MONTH
This month is pedestrian safety month! We would like to thank Lakewood Police Department for visiting us during morning drop-off last week to help raise awareness around pedestrian safety. The kids loved seeing one of our local police officers dressed as a traffic cone in the crosswalk! Thank you for helping us keep our students safe!
As a reminder, please use the cross walk right in front of the school when crossing. It is the safest place for your student to cross as we have a staff member there to help and lights to alert the oncoming traffic. Also, please be mindful about where you pull over to drop off your child. Please ensure that you are not in the road obstructing traffic or blocking another parent dropping off. Do not stop in the crosswalk to drop of your student. Thank you for your help in ensuring the safety of our students!
