  5. Cumberland Family Academy: Amazing things happen when families and educators join forces in students' lives. As part of its strategic plan, Cumberland County Schools (CCS) launched Cumberland Family Academy (CFA) during the 2020-21 school year. Since launching CFA, district officials have continued to listen to families to create innovative ways for families to receive information and resources to support their children. Throughout the 2022-23 school year, CCS families will have numerous opportunities to connect with the school system and receive critical information and resources to help their children succeed in the classroom and beyond. Please reach out to Mr. Gillespie about how you can sign up.
  6. Parent-Teacher Conferences: Parent/Teacher Conferences have been rescheduled from November 7-10. The available time for Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held from 7:30-8:00, during the day (during non-instructional time), and from 3:30-4:30. Please speak with your child's teacher to coordinate a time that works for all parties.

A MESSAGE FROM THE ADMINISTRATION TEAM

The staff at Montclair Elementary School are so excited about our upcoming events, such as the Book Fair and Awards Day. This is a time for parents to celebrate our student's achievements and reward our students' efforts with a book at our Book Fair. Parents are free to visit the classroom and our Media Center. During this time, if you have any questions, a staff member will be available to answer questions for our parents.

We thank our parents for showing up and supporting our students during the District 5 Douglas Byrd Arts Expo. During this showcase, The students at Montclair Elementary School had their artwork displayed, and some of our students could perform. Montclair Elementary School received high praise for its performance. We want to shout out Mrs. Chambers and Mrs. Hill for their hard work coordinating that showcase.

Parents, we know our students are excited about Halloween; however, please be reminded that Monday, October 31st is still an instructional day. To maintain a safe and distraction-free environment, we ask parents to prevent their students from coming to school with Halloween costumes and candy. If you have any questions about this message, please feel free to reach out to the Administration Team.

We thank you for your continued support and partnership. Have a great weekend!
