Parent Teacher Conferences
The 1st quarter for the 2021-2022 school year ended Thursday, October 28th. We will be conducting OPTIONAL parent-teacher conferences on Thursday, November 11th from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm and Friday, November 12 from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Again this year, conferences will be held virtually via Google Meet.
Conferences are NOT mandatory. In fact, there are far fewer conference slots for a teacher than he/she has students. Please only schedule a conference if you have a pressing issue or concern that requires a discussion with the teacher. Teachers are always available via email to answer your questions!
Instructions will be emailed to you at 8:00am on Wednesday, November 3rd. The scheduler will be active from 8:00 am Wednesday, November 3rd to midnight on November 10th.
Attendance
We have an attendance email and VM line for reporting of absences.
Please email JHATTENDANCE@sycamoreschools.org or call 513-686-1762.

District Curriculum Tour
Sycamore Community Schools is currently engaged in the first year of implementation of our new strategic plan to empower all learners to reach their full potential in a globally competitive world. An important goal of this plan is to enhance academic achievement.
To support this goal, the district has partnered with Education Elements to conduct a thorough curriculum review to gain an understanding of current curriculum resources and how those resources impact instruction and student learning. The complete curriculum review will provide information regarding alignment and identify areas of need and growth.
We would like to invite families to join us to learn more about the curriculum review and its findings. These virtual, informational sessions will be led by representatives from Education Elements.
Virtual sessions will be held:
November 4 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. https://edelements.zoom.us/j/99368818621
November 5 from 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. https://edelements.zoom.us/j/99368818621
Sessions will be recorded and viewed after the session. The recording of sessions will be available on the district website.

AROUND OUR COMMUNITY
Gifted Event: Super Saturday Program
The Super Saturday Program is excited to offer a free event to all current and prospective Super Saturday families. This is a great opportunity for families to meet many of our teachers, to ask questions, and to check out the kinds of things we do in our classes.
We do ask families to RSVP so that we are sure to have enough supplies for hands-on activities.
If you have any questions regarding this event, please feel free to reach out to messagecenter@supersaturday.org. We are not requiring students to be registered in the registration system for this event, nor to have turned in their professional recommendation. However, they can register in the system and send in recommendations at any time. Professional recommendation forms can be found on our website .
