New School in Dale Coming to Fruition!

There are exciting things happening at the corner of Highway 21 and FM 812! The walls of one of our new elementary schools have been raised and the building is taking shape. We look forward to seeing the same progress at the new school site in The Colony next week!

Parents, family members, community members and BISD teachers and staff may refer a student for Gifted and Talented services.


Want to learn more about the G/T Program? A Parent Information Meeting will be held on November 10 at 6 pm at the Jerry Fay Wilhelm Center for the Performing Arts.

BISD Celebrated 23rd Annual Lights On Afterschool

The ACE and STARS programs celebrated Lights On Afterschool on October 20 by decorating lightbulb-shaped cookies courtesy of Johnson's Bakery.



Launched in October 2000, Lights On Afterschool is the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool programs and their important role in the lives of children, families and communities. Lights On Afterschool draws attention to the many ways afterschool programs support students by offering them opportunities to learn new things—such as science, community service, robotics, Tae Kwon Do and poetry—and discover new skills.
