Grow your Asana

The goal of this series is to achieve more steadiness and ease in basic asana (yoga postures) through creative and intelligent sequences, breath-informed movement, and precise alignment instructions, while cultivating dedication and a light heart. There will be specific "homework" between sessions for students who desire even more progress and opening. Pranayama (breath work), seated meditation, and deep relaxation will also be part of every class.

Note: There is limited space and enrollment will be capped at six students. If you are planning to drop in, please email the week of to ensure there will be space. If you would like to enroll in the whole series, please do contact Jana right away to save your spot!

Before coming to class...

  • Wear clothes that grant you full range of motion
  • Bring your own mat; props (blankets, blocks, straps) will be available on site if you do not have your own
  • Try not to eat within two hours of starting practice

Jana Laughlin & Aster Yoga

Jana has practiced yoga for ten years. She completed her 200 hour teacher training in May 2011 with Todd Norian and Ann Greene and has been teaching ever since. She is constantly learning more about yoga and life from her teachers, her personal practice, and motherhood.

Jana’s passion is guiding students with a balance of safe alignment, intelligent sequencing, freedom of expression, and mindfulness. She hopes to hold space for her students to feel at home in their yoga practice, and thus at home in their body and mind.
