Cap and Gown Celebration Details for Seniors
Hello Seniors,
Here are some VERY important things to know before this Wednesday's Cap and Gown Celebration:
- Attendance is optional. If you will not be able to attend, we will send you your materials.
- For those traveling in cars, please arrive at the following times (by last name).
- 1:00 A-D
- 1:30 E-K
- 2:00 L-Q
- 2:30 R-Z
- 2:45 Non cars: On foot, bike, skateboard, etc.
- Please wear a cloth mask or face covering
- To avoid a traffic jam, please arrive traveling east to west on Ohio St.
- Turn right into the bus loop from Ohio St.
- For easy identification, please arrive with your name on your windshield or a sign on your passenger dash.
- If possible, have a family member drive so that you can be in the passenger seat to step out to collect your supplies.
- To avoid group gatherings, please head home after collecting your materials.
- When leaving the parking lot, please turn right (west) onto Ohio St.
See you on the 27th!

Voter Registration Information for Students and Families
Are you 17? Is your birthday on or before November 3, 2020? Have you registered to vote?
The League of Women Voters encourages all Bellingham High School students to register and to VOTE!
Are you 16? Did you know that through the Future Voter Program, you can register as a future voter, and your registration will automatically take effect when you turn 18?

Masonic Education Council of Whatcom County Awards Scholarship
Every year the Masonic Education Council of Whatcom County considers scholarship applications from High School Juniors. They select 10 finalists from each high school and honor them with a certificate and their names will be engraved on a plaque in the main office. Finalists have demonstrated academic excellence, dedication to community service, and a determination to change the world for the better. Our top finalist was awarded a $1000 scholarship.

Community Food and Supply Drive
Whatcom County Covid19 Community Helpers is sponsoring a Food and Supply Drive on Saturday, May 23 from 10 AM – 12 PM at 4 different drop off locations. The Bellingham Public Schools Family Resource Center is one of many recipients. Please see the website for specific lists of food and supplies. The Red Raider PTSA thanks you for your continued and generous support of our community during this time of great need.
Free Audiobooks for Students and "Book Talks with Bach"
Students can sign up for SYNC and recieve two FREE audiobooks each week from now through the end of summer 2020.
Check out "Book Talks with Bach" for Mr. Bachmeier's latest book reviews and recommendations. Students and staff can even sign in with their school email account to post their own book reviews! Who will be the first to post a review?

On Wellness Wednesdays, new activities and tips are shared to promote wellness and self-care among our staff and families.
We call these the Big 4 for Wellness because they include the four categories of mental/emotional health, physical activity, social connection and personal reflection. The current tips include using a pomodoro timer to remember to take breaks and information about the daily mile!
