What is going on in the classroom?

Hello parents!

We are been very busy in the classroom this week. We have been learning about each other, how we are different and the same and how to make friends. We also have been working with each other and sharing. I have been working with the kids on scissor safety and how to use a bottle of glue (One dot does a lot!"). :)

Also we are learning about centers. In the block center we are learning how to safely use blocks, library center how to read books, using tools to sort by size and color in the math center and using crayons and white paper in the art center. I will be opening more centers as we get continue into the next couple of weeks.

I have been reading books to the kids about ourselves, friends, sharing and caring. Your child has also been learning about what a title, author and illustrator is of a book.

I am so excited about as all the learning that is going on!

-Please make sure your child has a pair of change of clothes for your child. Sometimes children have accidents and we just want to make sure our students are dry and happy. :)

-Make sure your child has a breakfast/lunch bag so that they can carry their meals as they walk down to the cafeteria.

-Try and make sure your child has their folder returned every day. This is one way to keep up one form of communication between you (parent) and me (teacher). If you need to send a note or I send a sheet home that needs to be returned right away, I can get it back the next day. Thank you!
