Message From Mrs. Robertson
I am so excited with the progress our students have made since the beginning of the school year! Each student has been working to meet their goals and it was clearly evident as I looked at each students' report card! I saw grades improve, social and work habits become more consistent and overall growth in our learners. None of this progress would have been possible without your support and collaboration. I want to thank you for taking the time to help with homework, read to and with your child and communicate with our teachers. It is this dedication, by all of us, that allows teamwork to occur!
As we begin the third quarter, I look forward to seeing our students set new goals and work to reach them. Together there is nothing we can't achieve!
Yours in Education,
Kimberly Robertson
Principal
Kindness Month Activities

Letters of thanks and kindness will be written and sent to organizations. Teachers will nominate students for recognition where they demonstrated acts of kindness by having their photo taken in front of the "Be the I in Kind" bulletin board.

Mrs. Murphy, CMES Teacher of the Year!
It is with great pride that CMES has nominated Amanda Murphy to represent Carroll Manor Elementary as our teacher of the year!
Mrs. Murphy is an exceptional educator who consistently seeks to find the opportunities when faced with challenges. In her role, as a special educator, she serves as a resource for students, staff, and families. Her ability to create collaborative relationships amongst all stakeholders solidifies the connections necessary to promote student achievement. Whether she is identifying the special needs of a student, designing instruction, collaborating with a classroom teacher or communicating with a parent she sees herself as a leader who serves the community as a whole.
Ms. Murphy works tirelessly with students, providing innovative and thoughtful instructional opportunities. She uses every moment to its fullest, often times instructing in the hallways during transition times with students. In addition, she ensures that students feel successful and supported. You can often find her celebrating new learnings after her lessons with a high-five or a smile.
Ms. Murphy dedicates time to communicate successes and areas for growth with parents. She takes the time to send notes and emails to celebrate student successes along with ways to support at times. It is not unusual to find out that she has called home with a student to share a moment of achievement.
Ms. Murphy is active on the Carroll Manor School Improvement Team and is the special education team leader. Her expertise in instruction and current educational trends supports the teaching staff at CMES as they learn and grow. She works to gain perspectives from all stakeholders and is a good listener as she engages with peers to move our school forward.
Her leadership is evident as she works with others to make CMES a success. Congratulations Mrs. Murphy!
