Counselor's Corner
Meet Mrs. Osunde
I'd love to take this opportunity to help you get to know me a little bit better...
I have been a part of the AGCS staff for 3 years, but have been a part of the AGCS community for 7 years! My three daughters attend or attended AGCS. I love the Avon Grove Charter family and I am a huge fan of all the unique experiences the school has to offer our students and families.
My job as your School Counselor is to make sure you feel safe and supported at school. I spend many hours of my day having the privilege to chat with and problem solve with our students. While I strive to help out in any capacity, my number one goal as the School Counselor is to make sure our students are successful at school. Sometimes, as a school and family team, we do collaborate with outside agencies to help students who may have needs that extend beyond my expertise. Please don't ever hesitate to reach out if you need anything at all. I love to see my students and families finding and using resources to make each and every day a success.
I have two (very messy) office pets named Milkshake and Oreo. They're guinea pigs and they love new friends! Stop by anytime to say hello to them--I'm sure they'll squeal and possibly dump their food all over their cages in excitement!
Outside of school, my family is so very important to me. I have been married to my husband, Osagie, for 12 years. I have three daughters Macie (7th grade), Haley (5th grade) and Charlee (3rd grade), a dog named Lucy and a funny bunny named Simon. My daughters keep me very busy being involved in multiple sports. I love animals and I love watching sports. Fall is my favorite season. I love when the weather gets just right for a pair of jeans my favorite hoodies! I enjoy Mexican food, the color green, long strolls through Target and TJ Maxx and a getting lost in a good book.
I am so excited to meet you all and I look forward to working with and supporting you all as ELC's School Counselor. Please don't hesitate to reach out for any reason!

If you're looking for outside counseling and/or therapy services for your child, https://www.psychologytoday.com/us is a great place to start. **Waitlists are extremely long. It is my recommendation to get your name on as many waitlists as possible--you never know when something might open up! This process can be tiresome, but don't give up!
