May 2020
You play such an important role in our children's lives. The work you do each and every day is an inspiration. With the abrupt end to the physical school year, you have done even more to continue education through virtual classrooms and online lessons. Thank you for all you do!!

A Changing School Landscape
Education has been forced to adapt this spring, and as uncomfortable as it is to admit, we need to assume that things will never fully go back to the way they used to be. This adjustment may be new, but it doesn't have to be bad. Let's look for the good and use this time as a gift - as an opportunity to be truly innovative and serve our communities in the most dynamic way possible.
Here are some things to consider as you enter into the final weeks of this school year:
1. How will your whole district/school be adapting (across the board - permanent changes)? This may include blended learning, new schedules, rethinking use of space.
2. How will you provide choices to families who are looking for a fully virtual option or a more flexible option than your district/school as a whole? This may include a charter, a program, new technology, new choices.
3. How will you leverage existing resources, staffing, tools, and space to accommodate the changes? How will you seek new resources, such as the DPI Wisconsin Charter Schools Grant program, to help you fulfill your mission?
4. How will you think through the redesign process, the marketing, and the onboarding for all stakeholders around your changes?
WRCCS is here to discuss these questions with you and help you make decisions over the coming months. Please reach out to us if you would like to talk through our design resources or charter school supports. support@wrccs.org
