It is imperative that everyone reports to their duty station promptly. We know from experience that the presence of adults prevents many student misbehaviors.
*If you know in advance that you will be absent, please alert administration in order to have someone monitor your station in your absence.
Student Behavior
On another note, we still have many students and some teachers becoming ill with the various viruses going around. Please wipe down desktops, door knobs, pens, pencils, and anything else that is frequently touched, shared or borrowed.
High Yield Strategies
Below are a couple more strategies you may want to explore:
Calling any and all volunteers!
We need additional help to make certain that students mark the appropriate areas of their registration form. All who volunteer will receive a "Jeans Pass" and an "Early Release Pass." Please let Mrs. Longoria and/or Mrs. Ramon know if you will be there to help.
Thank You!
Referrals
Remember also to be making those parent contacts, and don't wait until the behavior choices escalate. Parents do not appreciate finding out that their child now has a history of poor choices in a class or classes. Sometimes, when notified promptly, parents are successful in changing their child's behavior. Please submit all parent contact logs to Sandra Smithwick.
