Principal's Corner
Dear Prospective Parents,
We will be holding an Open House for new students and their parents who are interested in attending our school for the 2018-2019 school year.
It will be on Saturday, December 16th. There will be two presentations:
First session: 10:00AM
Second session: 11:00AM
Osceola Science Charter School will be hosting two additional Open Houses in January 2018:
Saturday, January 20th at 10:00AM and at 11:00AM.
Sunday, January 28th at 12:00PM and at 1:00PM.
This is a great opportunity for you and your students to learn about Osceola Science Charter School by touring our school, visiting classrooms and teachers, and getting questions answered at an Administrative presentation which will kick off each session. No RSVP is necessary.
Lottery Applications for the 2018-2019 school year must be submitted by 11:59PM on Wednesday, January 31st.
Students who currently attend at Osceola Science Charter School don’t need to fill out online application. Only if there is a sibling who would like to attend next year, they need to apply on-line by 11:59PM on Wednesday, January 31st.

Kindergarten and First Grade Parents!
The STEM class needs your help! Over the past few weeks we have been learning about coding. The students will be given an opportunity to practice their coding skills during centers rotations during the months of December and January. Some of the centers will require parent volunteers to help the students either play a coding game or code a robot mouse. If you would like to volunteer in the STEM classroom during one or more of these classes please sign up using the following links:

Curtis Rising Stars Science Challenge
What: The Curtis Rising Stars Science Challenge is an entry-level STEM competition. The purpose of this program is to prepare and inspire younger elementary students for science competitions later on in their academic careers. This competition is challenge-based with a team focus. Students will officially meet their teams the morning of the event. Students are first prepared individually through pre-activities and prompts that you can choose to do with your child at home. The experience culminates in the day-long competition at Orlando Science Center, during which students will put their skills into practice.

When: Saturday February 3rd from 9:00am – 2:00pm

Holiday Paint Party

Mrs. Garzinski will teach children to paint a beautiful winter holiday painting that can be used as a holiday gift or as a memorable keepsake.
-No previous painting experience required.

The Elf Shop
Hey parents, its that time of the year for giving and its your time we need! We need Elves (that's you) to help our children buy gifts for their families and budget their money so all family members receive a gift. By volunteering your time you be able to witness first hand the children’s excitement while buying gifts as well as learn how they think as they choose gifts for their family members. Kids Night Out/Parents Night Off Movie and Pizza Party!
Do you still have some holiday shopping to do? How long has it been since your last date night? We have the perfect solution. On Friday, December 15, 2017, 4th grade is sponsoring a Kids Night Out/Parents Night Off Movie and Pizza Party!
Your children will be entertained with a movie, games, and their friends!
Time: After School until 8:00pm *
Cost: $10.00 per child
*All children must be picked up no later than 8:00 pm.
Registration forms have been sent home with your children, simply return filled out form and monies before Thursday, December 14, 2017.
First Semester Awards Ceremony for 2nd-4th Grade will be on Thursday, January 11th
2nd-4th grade parents, please join us for an awards ceremony in the gymnasium on Thursday, January 11th.
The schedule for each individual ceremony is below:
- 2nd Grade: 8:00am
- 4th Grade: 9:00am
- 3rd Grade: 10:00am
Award certificates will be issued for Principal's Honor Roll (all A's), Honor Roll (A's & B's), Citizenship, and Perfect Attendance.
