BTNY Volunteer Opportunity!

Our 8th grade students need help prepping for interviews.

Mock Interviews

Interviewing can be tough. We know Breakthrough New York students are smart, motivated and delightful to be around, but our 8th graders could use some practice interviewing so they can show high schools these same qualities.

When you sign up to be a Mock Interviewer we will send you some training materials, you will have a brief workshop on interviewing and giving students feedback and of course you'll get to know our all-star Breakthrough New York students by posing as an admissions officer and conducting four short interviews. Students have been working on things like making eye contact, firm handshakes and projecting confidence, and you'll help them polish those skills so they interview like champs.
