Impeachment of Andrew Jackson
Jackson is a zero
Impulsive and Irrational
President Jackson's time as president presented us with many conflicts and problems. There was bad in his good decisions and good in his bad ones, but the bad outweighed the good. The Trail of Tears, Spoils System and destroying the National Bank were some of his worst actions. Andrew Jackson tended to make impulsive and irrational decisions that caused lots of problems.
Spoils System
When Jackson lost the first election he ran in it was because John Q Adams used the spoils system, it wasn't only Jackson who thought it wasn't right the people who voted thought it was wrong to. Even though he knew it wasn't good, Jackson still used the spoils system if it wasn't right the first time, its not right the second time.
Destroying the National Bank
Andrew Jackson believed that the National Banks were unfair and only helped the rich. So, instead of working it out in a rational way he made it his personal mission to destroy the bank. The National Bank balanced put the economy of the U.S allowing us to share one type of currency. Since Jackson shut the bank the states went back to their own different currencies, disrupting the economy
Trail of Tears
After Congress declared that the Cherokee were a civilized nation, Jackson ignored their remarks and relocated the Cherokee to the dry land of Oklahoma from Tennessee, this land didn't have the same geography that their homeland had. They also had to walk there and in doing so almost have the Cherokee population died on the journey.
Impeachment
A lot of people thought that Jackson would become another king as he was taking his powers to far and abusing power. Andrew Jackson made decisions that weren't as good for the country as he thought they would be.
