Titan Training Athlete of the Week
MSBOA All-State Band
Congrats to Cameron Hathaway, who was selected to be in the MSBOA All-State Band. The All-State Band will be performing, as well as the West Senior High Wind Ensemble, at the Michigan Music Conference in January, 2023.
Art Field Trip
Our visual arts students had a great experience Tuesday on their tour of the Commons/"State Hospital".
Career Prep Corner
- During the week of December 12, WSH Counselors facilitate Xello Lessons with 9th-12th grade students in all WSH ELA classes. Xello helps students discover relevant college, university, trade, military, and career options based on their personality, skills, and knowledge. Students that do not take an ELA class at WSH will be emailed information and instructions in order to complete the lesson on their own.
- On Tuesday, December 6, during 3rd hour, sophomores will attend a class meeting and CTC Presentation in the Auditorium.

WSH Parent Walks - December sign up
Parents, have you ever wondered what it looks like at West Senior High during the school day? The next 'Parent Walk' opportunity at West will be December 8th at 8:30am. The guided tour is for CURRENT parents/guardians and will last 90-100 minutes. The tour capacity is limited and advanced sign-up is required. Parents/Guardians can sign-up through this link. Titan Athletics
The Triton Swim Team sent five athletes to the MHSAA Division 1 Girls High School Swimming and Diving championships held at Oakland university November 18-19, 2022. Good luck to the team this weekend and shout out to Kira Adams. Kira is a sophomore and attends West Senior High School. Kira is an alternate member of our 200 medley relay. This is Kira’s first time attending the MHSAA D1 State Meet.

DREAM TEAM:
Jonah Hochstetler — The senior Titan put together an incredible final season, punctuating his successful campaign with wins at the Northern Michigan XC Championships and the Division 1 regional — where he set his personal-record time of 15:25.7. Hochstetler finished in the top eight in all of his races, and he was runner-up at the Big North Conference championships and took seventh at the D1 state finals.
Willem DeGood(Jr) One of two Traverse City West Titans to qualify for the Division 1 state championship finals, DeGood had a fantastic penultimate high school season. He grabbed six top-10 finishes and set a personal-record time of 16:09.5 at the Portage Invitational. He took fifth at the Northern Michigan XC Championships and then eighth at the regional.
