Environmental Club
Environmental Club will be holding a virtual interest meeting on Wednesday 3/17 from 11:30-12:00. We will be discussing plans for the school garden, fundraisers, and other activities that we will do as a club this spring. The Meet Code to join on Wednesday is ENVIRONMENT. National Junior Honor Society
- There will be a NJHS meeting on March 24th at 2:45pm on Google Meet.
- Don't forget to donate to the farmer's campaign going on. The link is https://sahaita.org/rombout/. If you would like to donate in class we will be setting up bins starting Wednesday. Remember that “every penny counts because a hundred pennies make a dollar” you could be saving a family during this protest for the rights of farmers. Quarter 2 Honor Roll Assembly
Girls Rock STEAM

Girls Rock STEAM is a free program for middle school girls in grades 5-8 sponsored by the Mid-Hudson Cohort of the NYS Master Teacher Program. Girls will participate in STEAM-related activities run by NYS Master Teachers, local scientists, artists, and educators. Girls will be treated to a keynote address by Debra Dibble Boone and Suzanne Hardie in addition to a variety of STEAM workshops and demonstrations.

PBIS & Reading Challenge
During the month of March, PBIS is promoting 31 days of happiness. Do you want to participate in this? Check out the happy acts calendar on the PBIS page of the website for some ideas!! We are also creating a Wall of Happiness. If you would like to contribute to the wall, all you need to do is:
- Fill out #HappyActsForm
- Open the PDF Smiletime using Kami, add your text and share the finished doc with Mrs. Edelman (edelman.l@beaconk12.org)
The Rombout Reading Challenge is off to a great start! According to the information we have on myOn, our students have completed reading 221 books so far! Keep up the great reading. If any students have finished a hard copy of a book, make sure to talk with Mrs. D'Ottavio or Mrs. Edelman to receive credit for the book.
