Wife of Cherokee Chief found dead
Quatie Ross, wife of Cherokee Chief John Ross, was found dead on "trail of tears". Had frost bite like injuries. Cause of death pneumonia. Had lung infection and other injuries around chest area.

Westward expantion
In 1792 George Washington made the Louisiana purchase. In 1830 the law of Indian removal was made. It said that all Indians had to be removed from the u.s land. In 1835 they agreed to give Indians some land outside of there area. U.s soldiers forced Indians out of there homes. They had to walk far in very cold weather. They had to leave there belongings behind.
