Vision & Mission:
Oxford's Vision:
To create a world-class education today to shape tomorrow's leaders
- Is like Gardening because a gardener works hard today and shapes the harvest for the future
Oxford's Mission:
To provide an education that challenges all students to achieve
their maximum potential in academics, arts, and athletics and prepares them to succeed in a global society
- Is like a Homecoming Dance because it brings people of all areas of the community together. Allows all students to express themselves (creatively, physically, visually, knowledgeably)
Lakeville's Mission:
Through inquiry, we inspire our students to learn, to grow, to care, and to achieve in a global society.- Is like fishing because you need to work hard and try different approaches (bait, gear, lures) in order to catch (reach) the challenging ones.
Halloween Candy Collection
Elizabeth Davis, in association with Desert Angels, is asking for your support in collaborating to “Take Action” for our veterans around the world. This aligns beautifully with the IB Philosophy as I aim to contribute to the global society. I started this project in 2011 and have collected hundreds of pounds of candy! Please bring in your unwanted Halloween candy and place it in the collection box at your building. Candy will be picked up on Friday, November 3, 2017. Our service people will thank you and your dentist will be proud of you! If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth Davis, 248-969-5203, or email at Elizabeth.davis@oxfordschools.org.

Student Council & Other Extras
FYI - Jess & Krista want you to know Student Council is up for grabs ;)
- Staff member has an idea for an extra curricular activity
- Staff member completes the form to apply for the extra curricular (preferably by October 10th)
- Principal uses the district approved process for determining the stipend that will be allocated for the extra curricular activity. This will be based on time with students and participation numbers.
- Idea A: is for a one non-work full day (7-8 hours) activity involving 100 students (+/- $100.00 stipend)
- Idea B: Three ideas involve 25 hours after school working with 20-25 students (+/- $400.00 / idea)
- Idea C: One staff member & 20 students for 45 minutes after school twice per week for 20 weeks (+/- $500.00)
- Idea D: One idea is for two staff members to do a before school club for 30 minutes - 3 days per week - 15 weeks with a 10 student participation (+/- $350.00 - - $175 per person)
The $1,800 (school's financial limit) will need to be divided equitably (NOT EQUALLY) between the five different IDEAS not individuals. This means that the leaders of Idea D will split the stipend for that idea.
