DISTINGUISHED SCHOLAR BANQUET
This banquet honors those seniors who have maintained academic excellence throughout their high school career. Students who have maintained a 3.75 or above GPA through the 7th semester will be invited to attend. Invitations was mailed in late March.
2019 Prom-UPDATED
Prom is May 11, 2019, at The Hyatt Regency located at 350 North High St. in downtown Columbus. The dinner/dance will be in the Regency Ballroom on the third floor. Doors will open at 7:00 PM and dinner will begin at 7:25. Large groups should plan to arrive early. Prom will end at 11:00 so that students will have ample time to attend the After-prom event at the high school.
Tickets are $72.00 per person for prom. Tickets will go on sale on April 29th ONLINE. We will have two days of cash/check sales at school in the commons during lunch periods. We will post a link for ticket sales soon.
2019 After-Prom
PHSN After-Prom is right around the corner! The goal of PHSN's After-Prom is to provide a safe, drug and alcohol-free event for students to celebrate on this special night. But we also like to give back to our community.
After Prom is open to all juniors/seniors and their guests. You do NOT have to bring a guest to attend After Prom. You do NOT need to attend Prom in order to attend After Prom (they are two totally separate events).
Senior Breakfast

This final senior meeting is held in order to give seniors instructions for graduation. Items covered include (but not limited to): arrival times, behavior, dress, line up, etc. Breakfast will top off the celebration. All seniors will attend this event.
Mandatory Graduation Practice
Graduation practice will be on 5/20, at World Harvest Church. All students who plan to participate in the graduation ceremony must attend this mandatory practice and provide their own transportation. Wear regular school attire for the practice at World Harvest. Ladies may bring their dress shoes to practice walking up the steps of the stage.
Graduation Day
May 25, 2019 @ 1:00pm
Commencement is a ceremony conducted by the Pickerington Local School District to honor its graduating seniors. Seniors are expected to behave in a manner befitting the dignity and importance of this event. Misbehavior at commencement violates the PLSD Student Code of Conduct. Students who misbehave during the graduation ceremony will be removed and subject to school discipline.
Students must wear the approved cap and gown during the ceremony and they must wear the following clothing under the robe:
Men -- dress shirt and tie, dress slacks, dress shoes and socks
Women -- dress or pants suit, and dress shoes/dress sandals
There will be no limit to the number of family members and/or guest’s graduates may invite to the ceremony.
Grade Cards / Diplomas
Graduates who do not attend the commencement ceremony may pick up their diplomas in the counseling office of the high school beginning on Tuesday, May 28th, during regular office hours. Grade cards for all high school students will be mailed to homes in June.
NO DIPLOMAS will be awarded prior to the May 25th graduation ceremony.
Senior Failures
Prior to May, teachers should be contacting parents of seniors who are in jeopardy of, or who have failed courses. During the last week of May, school counselors will contact the parents of any senior who fails to meet all graduation requirements. These parents and students are encouraged to make an appointment with their counselor to discuss future graduation plans. Seniors who have not met all graduation requirements will not be permitted to participate in the commencement ceremony.
Student Fees
Final Transcripts
The Counseling Office will send final transcripts to colleges in June. Seniors need to submit a completed pink Final Transcript Request form by Friday, May 24th.
