A Note From Mrs. Mathe
We are so excited to have our first big school event next week, Storybook Character Parade! We hope you are able to join us to watch the parade. If you plan to take your child home after the parade, please bring your car rider sign (with the bar code) or your child's barcode from PAC. We will be checking ID's and scanning students out under the front porch following the conclusion of the parade. Also, we ask that all visitors social distance and wear face coverings. See you Friday!
On that note, please be mindful when walking or biking your child to school, or picking them up. Now that we have 75% of our students back on campus, the number of families gathering by the bike racks and/or at the corner is growing. Please maintain as much social distancing as possible and wear face coverings. Let's all do our part to keep our school COVID free!

Nominations for Gifted and Talented Testing
Nominations are now open for Conroe Independent School District Gifted and Talented program. Although the testing will not take place until late January for both remote and in-person platforms, referral requests are accepted at this time. Referral requests can be made by the parents and/or teachers.
All 2nd grade students will take the CogAT assessment in December. It is recommended that parents of 2nd grade students wait until CogAT scores have arrived before nominating their child. The CogAT scores are part of the GT assessment.
If you are interested in referring your child, you may want to discuss this with your child’s teacher at conferences. Referrals will be accepted through December 18. The referral form is attached and will need to be completed and emailed to Sarah Radford at sradford@conroeisd.net. Your child may also return a printed copy to their teacher that can be turned into the front office.
Remote Learning Expectations
As we begin the second nine weeks of school, please review the instructional expectations for remote learners. https://www.conroeisd.net/roadmap-to-reopening/remote-online-instruction/ At this point in the year, it is expected that remote learners are participating in live Zoom meetings for instruction, completing all assigned work, and submitting work via the LMS (Canvas or SeeSaw). If you are having difficulty still with the online learning platforms, please contact the school so we can help you troubleshoot any difficulties.
