Dawn's Place 2015 Fall Newsletter
Message from the Executive Director
Dear Friends of Dawn's Place,
As the season changes, we are proud to announce several changes and exciting developments at Dawn's Place.
First, I would like to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of Dawn's Place. I am one of the founders of Dawn's Place and have been active in combating human trafficking for many years. I am happy and grateful to be part of Dawn’s Place. I am most grateful for the years of dedication and hard work of Sister Michelle and I hope to continue to build upon that foundation.
Secondly, we are proud to announce that we have purchased a second home adjacent to our current structure and are in the process of renovating it and expanding our services. It is a beautiful building that will house offices, programming, and residents in the transitional program. Thank you to all of the supporters that have made this dream a reality.
Finally, we are proud to announce that we have received a major gift from the Francis Fund. This was truly a blessing and will help with our expansion. We were invigorated by the visit of Pope Francis and hope that his spirit and message of serving those who are economically and socially disadvantaged will continue to be witnessed in our area for many years to come.
Please join with us to reinvest ourselves in our mission to house, educate, and rehabilitate these women that have suffered from trafficking. Our achievements could not have been possible without our family of generous supporters. Whether through your financial donations or your donations of your time and expertise, we are truly grateful.
Sister Kathleen Coll
