Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal. Henry Ford
Only five more days! I say that with mixed emotions - excitement about the upcoming break and anxiety about the volume of things that need to be done. My perspective changes, though, when I remember what was going on in Sandy Hook a year ago. Please join me in some quiet reflection about the role we play in caring for our students and their families and how fragile life is. Your role is so important to our families - thank you for all that you do to build those relationships.
Please notice in your Payday note the mention of GISD's Employee Combined Charitable Campaign. We have until the 18th to participate and I would love to have you join me in supporting this campaign.
Our Win-Win Friday Evaluation team met this week to get back on track with the great work that has already been completed. Really, it is more a matter of getting me on track with the importance of following through with this process - our team has always been on track! You should expect to hear more from me and the Win-Win team about this early in the new year.
I think I have created a new group calendar called Committee Calendar ECPS - I have given everyone access to add to it. Although some committees have sent me their future meeting dates, I will need every committee to add their own dates to the calendar. This will help us out greatly for planning out the remaining school year. Please test it out in Outlook and let me know if it works - I have my fingers crossed.
