Marksmen Minute
A Look Ahead to the Week
Academic Pep Rally Week
FRIDAY THE 13th!! There's only one this year...and only one Zombie Apocalypse Pep Rally. On Friday morning, we will gather in the auditorium to celebrate the great accomplishments of our student body throughout this year. There will be skits, games, videos, etc. to entertain you. Check out the hallways for dress up day information.
Spring Fling / Mud Run
So....Friday is going to be pretty sweet. After the Pep Rally, we've got the Alvey Meal followed by the Mud Run (Grades 6-8) and Spring Fling (Grades 9-12). We've still got crazy obstacles with mud, boat races, and other activities. But new this year: LARP-ing. (Not sure what that is? Start asking around...)
Fine Arts Academic Team
While we were away this weekend, the Science and Fine Arts HS Academic Teams competed at the state finals at Purdue University. The Fine Arts team one the state title for the first time in school history!!! Congrats to the following members: Mrs. Goodrich (coach), Jenna Harris, Emily Davis, Josh Kimbril, Corrie Kimbril, Hannah Scott, Shayna Vaquero, and Madison Gilliland.

Bad Joke of the Week
How hot is it in a corner?
School Home Stretch
Spring Fling and the Pep Rally are this week, which means that school is just about over! Be sure to get all your missing work turned in, and try to pass all your classes! But with the end of the year comes something else...Senior Pranks. I'm not saying that there is, or is not, going to be a senior prank this year. And if there is I'm not a part of it. But senior pranks are something that have been around for years. So let's take a look at some legendary senior pranks that have been pulled around the country!
- A high school in Minnesota's class of 2006 stopped traffic for nearly 10 minutes by walking across a crosswalk. The same students could walk across the same crosswalk in the same direction due to an underground tunnel that went back to the other side of the road. Some students wore costumes to drive the motorists extra crazy.
- A high school in Santa Barbara, California hired a four person mariachi band to follow their principal around for 90 minutes.
