Book Fair, Holiday Shoppe, and Pancake Breakfast are all scheduled the week after Thanksgiving. Book Fair is an opportunity for your child/children to buy books as holiday gifts for friends and family. Proceeds from Book Fair support Mrs. Sager and the library. Children will be able to walk through the Book Fair during their library time, from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, and/or from 8-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 5.

Holiday Shoppe is also an opportunity for your child/children to buy gifts for you, other family members, friends, and perhaps themselves; all items are locally-made and/or sourced. If your child/children would like to buy for you ‘in secret,’ junior high Honor Society members are there to help. Items in the Shoppe this year include candles, journals, Indiana pillows, peg people, hair bows, Shopkins zipper pulls, aprons, keychains, ornaments, bracelets, scarves, purses, coasters, puzzles, socks, pet tags, and many others! We will also offer the opportunity to personalize items such as mugs and puzzles with delivery of these items before the holidays. Prices range from $1 to $25. Holiday Shoppe is open 5-7 p.m. Thursday, December 3 and 8-10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 5.

Pancake Breakfast (with Santa) is also Saturday, December 5 from 8-10:30 a.m. Come out and enjoy Bob Evans pancakes and sausage served to you by HPE teachers! All proceeds from Pancake Breakfast support Mrs. Sager and the library.

Volunteers are needed for all of these events. You can sign up now at http://vols.pt/Pv4NAa for a shift (or two) at Pancake Breakfast; Book Fair and Holiday Shoppe shifts will be added this weekend.

To register your child/children, please go to http://goo.gl/forms/uLKAttzgxs. Volunteers (children get in free), please go to http://vols.pt/Pv4NAa. Harrison Parkway Elementary and Texas Roadhouse are partnering together to offer the HPE family an opportunity to purchase Texas Roadhouse gift cards for themselves or others as gifts this holiday season. Order forms and envelopes are being sent home and all orders are due by Wednesday, December 2nd. The gift cards are worth $25, but cost $30. Why the extra $5? For an entire year after purchase, the gift card can then be redeemed for a free $4.99 appetizer! You can get a free $4.99 appetizer every time you go to Texas Roadhouse for a whole year! Texas Roadhouse will actually give the extra $5 sold on the gift cards plus 10% back to HPE. This is meant to be a no pressure fundraiser; simply a way for you to take advantage of this offer for yourself or get some holiday shopping done. This is not intended for you to go out selling. However, please see the flyer being sent home to find some incentives that Texas Roadhouse is offering.
