Principal's Corner
Dear Parents,
If you know any families that attend public school, we would appreciate you forwarding to them the information about our "School Fair" below.
On Wednesday, April 25, St. Louis School will hold a School Fair in the St. Louis Activity Center from 5:00-7:00 pm. *Please enter school through the Activity Center entrance. We will have different areas set up for you to get information and basically get the answers to any questions you may have. Your family will be able to meet teachers, discuss curriculum, and take tours of the school. We hope to see you there, but if that day and timeframe does not work, let us know and we will schedule a personal meeting and tour.
Students Get T-Shirts
As you may know, 2018 is the 150th anniversary of St. Louis Parish. One of the many planned celebrations is a commemorative t-shirt designed by parishioner Chuck Stone. The parish is providing every student and staff member with that shirt.
The students will receive their shirts this Friday (4/13). They are allowed to wear them every Wednesday over (or instead of) their uniform top. We ask that you hang onto the shirts as students will wear them again next school year.
Mr. Chad Moeller

5th Graders investigate excess garbage
One of the fifth grade class rooms investigated the amount of trash the fifth graders make in the cafeteria. On one day they weighed their food and paper/plastic waste. The 24 fifth graders had almost 5 pounds of waste. Then they calculated that they would make about 900 pounds of trash in one year. After that, they estimated how much the entire school would make--almost 12,000 pounds!
The students created and hung some posters in the cafeteria to encourage the students to make less trash.

"Little 500"
Zoom! Zoom! Look who is ready to cruise around the playground! It’s St. Louis Catholic School first and second graders. They are ready to ride these Radio Flyer Big Wheels that were donated by the Joan and John Hillenbrand Vision Fund. For every 100 minutes they read they get to take a lap around the playground to prepare themselves for the “Little 500” at the end of the year. The race will be for all the first and second grade students to show their stuff. Thank you Vision Fund for making reading fun for them!

NEGATIVE LUNCH BALANCES:
Just a reminder that we do not send out reminders for lunch balances. We have many families that are in the negative. It is coming down to the last month of school so please get your child's lunch balance paid up.
If you need your child's lunch balance, please send us an email at slscafeteria@st.louisschool.org. You can also go to EzSchoolPay.com and find it.
Thank you,

"McTeacher Night"
McTeacher Night was another huge success! Thank you to all the teachers who came out and supported this fundraiser. In just 2 short hours the PTO made $700 for the school.
Our staff spent the afternoon preparing for this night to make it simple and effortless -- which it was. Customers had fun and the service was great. Thanks St. Louis !!
