We are kicking-off a three-part series that will focus on how families honor and celebrate stories and reading. The first event is on:

5:30-6:00 DINNER THEATER PERFORMANCE BY 6TH GRADE STUDENTS
8:00 GIFT-CARD RAFFLE
Savor a free home-cooked meal provided by BCS, while 6th graders share spoken word personal narrative writings from their ELA classes and perform excerpts from poetry, songs, and rhythmic schemes created in their Elective classes.
6:00-7:00 LOCAL AUTHOR, TORREY MALDONADO
The author of middle-grade book, Secret Saturdays, will talk about the impact stories have had on his life growing up in Red Hook. Free autographed copies of Secret Saturdays provided to families who attend.
7:00-8:00 STORY-TELLING CIRCLES
Marieke van Woerkem from the Morningside Center for Teaching Social Responsibility will lead us in a circle where we will share stories and explore how stories impact our lives and shape who we are.8:00 GIFT-CARD RAFFLE
