Literacy/Reading
This week we began research and planning for the historical fiction story your child is going to be writing.
The goal is to have their stories finished next week. Parents WE NEED YOU to check their rough draft (breathe...they haven't written them yet).
Math
This week we will be finishing up with fractions...please review the objectives about 4.NF.1 - 4.NF.4 (you can find information under the math tab on my Ms. Davis's Weebly!
We learned to compare fractions, make equivalent fractions, add and subtract fractions, multiply a fraction times a whole number, identify fractions on a number line, and word problems using CUBE to find the answers!!
Science
We continue to look into the Earth's changes, such as earthquakes and volcanoes. We will investigate erosion and weathering and what they have to do with rocks and minerals.
Rocks and Minerals are next on our list in science and students will learn about their properties. We will test for hardness, luster, weight and a test on the rocks ability to scratch tile.
Start collecting Rocks...
