About Saint Albert
Saint Albert was born around 1193 in Lauingen an der Donau, Germany. His birth name was Albertus Magnus. He was the oldest son of a wealthy German lord, and was raised in a castle, but at age 17, he decided to leave riches behind. After schooling of his early years Saint Albert attended Padua University. At Padua University he joined the Dominican order. Saint Albert studied the bible for two years, and had education in biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, and mathematics. Saint Albert is also a doctor of the church. Saint Albert distinguished the way to knowledge by revelation and faith differs the way of philosophy and of science.
Saint Albert worked as a teacher in many subject such as biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, and mathematics, and he also work as a scientist. He helped by teaching, saving people’s life, helping every one, he also study physics because of Aristotle. Saint Albert was canonized by Pope Pius XI as the patron saint of natural scientist. He was became a saint on December 16, 1931. He worked with a guy name De bono. He was also friends with another man name Tractatus II.
Something else that we should know about Saint Albert is that he was both a German friar and a Catholic bishop. Saint Albert also started studying physics because of the works of Aristotle. One way in which we celebrate Saint Albert is by giving praise to him on his feast day which is November 15. We can also celebrate him by giving thanks to him for sharing his endless knowledge of the bible. There are many ways people benefit from Saint Albert’s existence. One way is learning from him. Saint Albert was a teacher in many subjects, and one of his most famous students was saint Thomas Aquinas. Another way people benefitted from Saint Albert because of his generous donations to the poor. One of the most important and impressive things that Saint Albert did was being a doctor of the church. Saint Albert was canonized as the patron saint of natural scientist.
